Negative impact on Hartwell House Estate as a consequence of housing proposal D-AGT2
D-AGT2: South West Aylesbury (AGT2) should be amended to delete housing at its western extent so that it is not visible from the A418 in either direction.
Hartwell House Estates / National Trust consider that the proposals would have a negative impact on the setting of Hartwell House Registered Park and Gardens and Hartwell Conservation Area located to the north and north west of the A418 Oxford Road. The proposed housing allocation is not based on a detailed Heritage Statement for Aylesbury Town which has informed the emergent local plan process. This is contrary to Historic England advice set out 'The Historic Environment in Local Plans -Historic Environment Good Practice Advice in Planning: 1' and The Setting of Heritage Assets - Good Practice Advice in Planning Note 3'.
