Whilst we support MM157 insofar as it acknowledges that a variety of forms of accommodation are provided to meet the differing needs of older people, we have significant concerns that this Modification could lead to the Council predetermining use classes for older persons' accommodation. AVDC is taking an outdated view as to what forms of accommodation fall into C2 and C3 Uses and involvement of the County Council's Health and Adult Social Care Services department is not required to demonstrate that a proposal has a C2 Use Class. The VALP should recognise that the market has shifted and evolved.
