the Master Plan should be informed by the Buckinghamshire Historic Landscape Character Assessment and Historic Environment Record, with further archaeological investigation if necessary, and we would expect the retention and enhancement of historic landscape features and archaeological remains to be a place-shaping principle in accordance with the protection afforded to such assets by the National Planning Policy Framework, as part of the positive strategy for the conservation and
enjoyment of, and the clear strategy for enhancing, the historic environment required by paragraphs 126 and 157 of the Framework and in compliance with principle j of Policy D1.
